ICCS is proud to announce 2024 fundraising initiative aimed at supporting the Pikes Peak Library District’s Disability Readiness Programs. The funds raised will be allocated to enhance the library's offerings for children and families with disabilities. Specifically, the funds will be used for the following:

• Sensory Storytime Kits
  These kits are specially designed for children on the autism spectrum. In addition to books, they will include sensory elements such as movement, music, and physical play. They will also feature braille books for children who are visually impaired and equipment for those who are deaf or nonverbal, ensuring a more inclusive learning experience.

• Trained Liaison for Disability Resources
  The library will host regular information sessions for parents of children with disabilities. These sessions will provide valuable educational resources and guidance, helping families navigate the available support systems and access professional assistance.

• Mental Health Awareness Sessions
  In addition to supporting physical disabilities, PPLD will hold sessions focused on mental health awareness. These sessions will offer families crucial resources and support networks, fostering a greater understanding of mental health challenges.
